Purchased a Halowview BT7 RV Backup Camera along with the Haloview BTC 129 RV Side Cameras for a little over $550 in September of 2022. Due to a couple of poor reviews on this manufacturer I opted to purchase the 3-year $500-$599 extended warranty for both items at checkout. One of the side cameras went out and when I contacted Asurion they advised me that it was not covered under the warranty that I purchased. They said they will only cover one item at a time on an Amazon order and I was only covered for the $339.57 Backup camera on the order. I tried to point out that I would not purchase a warranty for $500-$599 on something valued at only $339.57. Asurion tried to blame it on Amazon and advised that their terms clearly state they only cover one item per invoice and that I had no warranty on the second item. When questioned about how a consumer is supposed to know this information, they advised that I should have read all their terms on their website. They refused to repair or replace the defective item even after confirming that the policy value was for $500-$599. Total waste of money!

I purchased the ASURION 3-Year Portable Electronic Accident Protection Plan ($500–$599.99) for an Android 13 8.8” touchscreen stereo installed in my BMW (CCC system). After about two years of normal use, the Android stereo stopped working completely. I filed a claim through Asurion’s website, and the process was straightforward. Initially, Asurion asked me to remove the unit and prepare it for return, advising that they would email me a prepaid shipping label. I purchase an Asurion protection plan with every high-dollar item I buy on Amazon. I’ve had to file a three claims over the years, and each time the experience has reinforced that this coverage is well worth the cost.
