Dailuaine 14 Year Creetown Distillers Single Malt ScotchThis is a single barrel that began its life in 2011 in an ex bourbon barrel in 2011, and then was reracked into a barrel that had previously held Calvados in 2022. From there it rested for just shy of 2. 5 years before being bottled in early 2025. It is cask strength at 54. 3% ABV. The nose opens with a lifted and pretty personality with light orchard fruits, white flowers, apples, and just there mixed barrel notes. On the palate this has an up front

I like this, but I don't love it. It's very rich and creamy, no discernible scent, and feels good going on. The beeswax in this makes it a good "barrier cream", great for overnight. This is very moisturizing, but it does not seem to penetrate as deeply as another tallow cream that I tried which has no beeswax. It's a nice sized jar for the price. This is really good for hands. I'm still on the hunt for a really good tallow cream that doesn't contain wax or olive oil...the search continues.
